How Do I Obtain Telephone
Consultations?
- If you have a
problem which you feel does not require seeing a doctor or practice
nurse in person or involves a physical examination, the receptionist
would be happy to arrange a time for a telephone consultation with your
doctor.
How Do I
Make an Appointment with a Doctor?
How Do I Make an
Appointment with the Nurse?
- These are booked through
reception. The receptionist may ask you to give some indication of
the service required, as the length of appointment varies
according to the nature of your problem.
- Our two phlebotomists Chris and
Annette run clinics on weekday mornings.
How Do I
Obtain a Home Visit?
- We ask our patients to come to the surgery whenever possible as the
facilities are better and the travelling time saved enables the doctors
to see more patients.
If you feel unwell or are bringing an unwell child please let us know
and we will arrange to see you with the minimum of delay once you reach
the surgery.
If you need the doctor to visit it helps immensely if you can call
before 11.00am giving simple details and some indication of urgency when
you feel able to do so.
All visit requests will be forwarded to the duty doctor who will phone
you.
How Do I
Obtain a Repeat Prescription?
- In order to reduce pressure on our phone system we now ask you to order
your repeat prescriptions by either leaving your re-order slip in the
box on the right hand side as you enter the front door, post it to us,
or ring the direct pharmacy line (01608 645999). When through to the
answerphone please leave your name and details of the medication you
require.
Please allow two working days before collection.
If you use Boots or the Co-op chemist to dispense your repeat
prescriptions you may like to join the collection service. To take
advantage of this service simply ask at reception or Boots/Co-op for a
form to complete and sign. Once this has been done the form may be
returned either to us or the chemist of your choice. The next time you
re-order place your order as above, but please allow three working days,
and the repeat prescription will be collected from us by Boots or the
Co-op. The medication is then collected direct from the chemist.
How Do I Make a Complaint?
-
We very much welcome any suggestions for improvements in our practice, and
if you have a complaint about any specific episode we'd like to hear about
that too. If you don't tell us we can't make things better! You can write to
one of us, tell a receptionist or doctor, or ask to speak to Mrs Diane
Waller, Practice Manager, who has particular responsibility for this area.
We take both suggestions and complaints seriously and guarantee to respond
to you.
